MOXIBUSTION
Moxibustion is a form of ancient heat therapy in which a moxa stick made of an herb named Chinese-Mugwort/Ai-ye is burnt and held over the surface of the skin, corresponding to selected acupuncture points. The purpose is to invigorate the flow of Qi and warm up the inner environment of the body as well as dispelling certain pathogens.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), moxibustion is especially effective in the treatment of Yang deficiency or cold-type conditions. People who often have obstructed blood circulation often complaining of cold hands and feet, menstrual cramps or other chronic pains, weak immunity, frequent urination, irregular ovulation/menstruation, endometriosis and blocked fallopian tube situations.

During the moxibustion therapy, people will notice the unique mugwort smell which comes with flooding of warmth that quickly radiates along a specific Meridian/channel. This indicates the arrival of the Qi and signals the flow of Qi and Blood has been unblocked. The process is relaxing and often patients doze off during the treatment.
